Tom Groom is co-founder of Groom Construction and has served as President for over 33 years. Tom has helped steer the company with his vision of how a general contractor should be. Tom continues to be responsible for day-to-day management of many projects that vary in size and cost.
David Groom, Co-Owner
With 30 years of experience in construction, David has helped build Groom Construction into the company it is today. David has managed hundreds of construction projects that vary in size and complexity, both as a Project Manager and a Project Executive. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction activities and generation of new business.
Scott Faulkner, Senior Vice-President of Operations
Thirty years of working in the construction industry, 25 of those years have been as a principal and Sr. Vice-President of Groom Construction. Scott’s responsibilities include managing client relationships, supporting/leading design build efforts, executing fast track projects, and managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project. Scott is especially adept at coordination and evaluating value engineering issues with clients, architects and engineers.
Dwight Groom, Senior Vice-President of Retail
With over 20 years in the industry, Dwight oversees the Retail Division of Groom Construction. This Division has completed hundreds of projects of various sizes totaling almost $200 million in retail build outs. He has been a leader at Groom, forming the retail division, which has grown to become a viable and strong contender against all larger retail contractors and has long standing relationships with major retailers like Best Buy, Target and Kohl’s. Dwight is also involved in the retail construction industry and serves on the Advisory Board for SPECS, a national trade show.
Peter Beaudoin, Senior Vice-President of Commercial
Peter has spent 27 years in the engineering/construction industry, having managed both public and private sector projects across multiple geographies. At Groom Construction, Peter is responsible for managing the design and construction processes inclusive of establishing project budget and schedule. Coordinate with the Architect and Client to ensure proper communication during the project. Project experience includes ground-up construction and renovation of commercial office buildings, manufacturing, hospitality, retail, and multi-family residential complexes.
Austin Smith, Senior Vice-President of Marketing & Real Estate – Download VCard
After a 30 year career in the commercial brokerage world, Austin has brought his marketing and development skills to Groom. As Senior Vice-President, Austin will be advancing our marketing to add consistency and cutting edge systems that will help our customers work more effectively and efficiently than our competition. Austin is also sourcing and managing development opportunities for the principals of Groom and our clients. Austin is an active member of NAIOP, and serves on the organization’s Education Committee.
